Neife Aparecida Guinaim dos Santos

Graduated in Pharmacy-Biochemistry from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Preto (FCFRP-USP), PhD in Toxicology (FCFRP-USP) and Post-Doctorate from the University of São Paulo. She is currently a pharmacist in the Neurotoxicity and Neuroprotection Laboratory of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo. She works in the following line of research: Investigation of the molecular mechanisms involved in neurodegenerative diseases and chemically induced neurotoxicity; evaluation of the neurotrophic potential of natural and synthetic compounds as a strategy of neuroprotection and treatment .

Possui graduação em Farmácia-Bioquímica pela Faculdade de Ciências Farmacêuticas de Ribeirão Preto (FCFRP-USP), doutorado em Toxicologia (FCFRP-USP) e Pós-doutorado pela Universidade de São Paulo. Atualmente é farmacêutica no laboratório de Neurotoxicidade e Neuroproteção da Faculdade de Ciências Farmacêuticas de Ribeirão Preto da Universidade de São Paulo. Trabalha na seguinte linha de pesquisa: Investigação dos mecanismos moleculares envolvidos em doenças neurodegenerativas e na neurotoxicidade quimicamente induzida; avaliação do potencial neurotrófico de compostos naturais e sintéticos como estratégia de neuroproteção e tratamento.
