Ana Carolina Oliveira Fiorini

Ana Carolina Oliveira Fiorini is a post-doctoral researcher at the Energy Planning Program (PPE/COPPE/UFRJ). She holds a bachelor degree in Biology (2008 - Bio/UFRJ), a MSc in Environmental and Energy Planning (2012 - COPPE/UFRJ) and a PhD in Interdisciplinary Ecology (2018 - SNRE/University of Florida). Early on in her educational career, she developed an interest in conservation policy and climate change. Her Master's thesis focused on degraded forests and REDD+, and her PhD research focused on compliance with the Brazilian Forest Code and the impacts of a payments for environmental services intervention in Atlantic Forest. She was a consultant for the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR). She currently works with Cenergia's AFOLU team on several projects and contributes to the incorporation of terrestrial biodiversity into integrated assessment modeling.

Ana Carolina Oliveira Fiorini é pesquisadora de pós-doutorado do Programa de Planejamento Energético (PPE/COPPE/UFRJ) no laboratório Cenergia (https://www.cenergialab.coppe.ufrj.br/). Possui graduação em Biologia (2008- Bio/UFRJ), mestrado em Planejamento Ambiental e Energético (2012 - COPPE/UFRJ) e doutorado em Ecologia Interdisciplinar (2018 - SNRE/University of Florida). Seus principais interesses são as mudanças climáticas e a conservação da biodiversidade. Sua dissertação de mestrado focou em florestas degradadas e REDD+, e sua pesquisa de doutorado no cumprimento do Código Florestal Brasileiro e nos impactos de um pagamentos por serviços ambientais na Mata Atlântica. Foi consultora do Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR). Atualmente, ela trabalha com a equipe AFOLU do Cenergia em diversos projetos e contribui para a incorporação da biodiversidade terrestre na modelagem de avaliação integrada.
