Professor at the Federal University of Fronteira Sul - UFFS, Campus Chapecó, SC, Brazil, working in the undergraduate and graduate programs in Biomedical Sciences. Graduated in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Santa Catarina - UFSC (1988), master's degree in Neuroscience from UFSC (1999) and doctorate in Health Sciences from the University of Southern Santa Catarina, Criciúma, Santa Catarina, Brazil (2016). I am currently the UFFS research group leader Translational neuroscience, clinical and epidemiological", "Biological and Clinical Studies in Human Pathologies" and "Research Laboratory in Health Management, Innovation and Technologies". I am a member of the Brazilian Society for Neuroscience and Behavior - SBNeC and the Brazilian Society for the Progress of Science - SBPC. I am a reviewer of several international and national journals and an evaluator of national and international scientific development agencies. I have experience with Neuroscience and Behavior research, acting mainly on the following themes: Depression, anxiety, memory, psychopharmacology, neurodegeneration, medicinal plants, and animal models of behavior.
