Alexandre Reis Graeml
Alexandre Graeml is a Full Professor at the Graduate School of Applied Computing (PPGCA) and the Graduate School of Business (PPGA) at UTFPR, in Brazil. His international academic experience includes having been a research associate (2002) and a visiting scholar (2018/2019) at the University of California - Berkeley, where he is a member of the executive board of the Berkeley Postdoctoral Entrepreneur Program (BPEP), since 2018. He has also been teaching at the Business Information Systems and the Software Engineering and Digital Transformation graduate programs at Ecole Supérieure d'Ingénieurs (Esigelec) in France, for more than a decade. Since 2017, he advises the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment, the higher education agency in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on the quality of the country's educational programs in computing, information systems and engineering. His research interests involve the impact of IT on organizations and society, adoption, acceptance and appropriation of information systems, collective intelligence, and knowledge management. He is actively involved in the information systems academic community, having served on a number editorial boards and international conference committees. He has been a senior or associate editor for leading journals in the Information Systems field, such as Information Systems Journal (ISJ), Communications of the Association for Information Systems (CAIS) and the Electronic Journal of Information Systems in Developing Countries (EJISDC), among others. He was also the senior editor of Revista Eletrônica de Sistemas de Informação for many years prior to its discontinuation in 2018. Alexandre was the President of the Association for Information Systems' chapter for Latin America and the Caribbean from 2016 to 2021. In 2021, he received the Sandra Slaughter Service Award from the Association for Information Systems, for his commitment to the Information Systems community.
