Sarayna Martins Mendes

Graduated in History from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo - PUC-SP (2009) and Master in Social Anthropology from the Postgraduate Program in Social Anthropology from the Federal University of Paraíba - UFPB (2018), today I am a PhD student in Anthropology from the Postgraduate Program - Graduated in Anthropology from the Federal University of Bahia - UFBA (2021), and since 2016 I have been a member of the Research Group on Urban Ethnographies. Main research interests start from the relationship between body and city, thematizing the relations of movement and flow as producers of knowledge, which characterize specific ways of being and making the city, especially those produced by women.

Possui graduação em História pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (2009) , Mestrado em Antropologia pela Universidade Federal da Paraíba (2018) e faz doutorado na Universidade Federal da Bahia. Integra o GUETU - Grupo de Pesquisa em Antropologia Urbana des de 2016, tem experiência na área de História, Produção Cultural e Antropologia, com ênfase em Antropologia Urbana, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: ação cultural, centro histórico, afetações, mulher, corpo, cidade e antropologia urbana, espaço, diferença.
