Emerson Damasceno de Oliveira

The Ph.D. Oliveira has experience in climate modeling, focusing on paleoclimatology and space climate. During his master's degree, he investigated the climate differences in South America during the mid-Holocene. After that, during his Ph.D., he worked on a simple parameterization that simulated the Galactic Cosmic Rays theory, investigating their influence on the global climate system using a simplified climate model (GREG-GCR). Currently, Oliveira is working in the Laboratory of Meteorology (LabMet) at UNIVASF as a researcher. LabMet supports the academic community by providing meteorology data and weather equipment, focusing on agriculture, building, and electrical engineering research. The LabMet team also assists students by providing meteorology, climatology, and climate change courses. Currently, Oliveira has devoted himself to learning more about numerical methods and trying to use his skills to investigate interglacial ages. Besides that, he has developed helpful tools/models for climate modeling. Well, thank you so much for reading my short professional introduction.
