Ivonne Alejandra Maria Gutiérrez Góngora

Ivonne Alejandra M. Gutiérrez Góngora holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Ibagué in Colombia (2007), and a master's (2011) and PhD (2015) in Geotechnics from the University of Brasília. She has published articles in international journals as well as in national and international conferences and symposiums. In 2012, her master's thesis study was awarded the 4th Innovative Projects Award, organized by Caixa Econômica Federal, Sindimetal, Sinduscon-Norte/PR, Sebrae, and Senai. In the same year, she received second place in the "Student Award - IGS Brazil 2009/2012," organized by the Brazilian section of the International Geosynthetics Society (IGS). She currently serves as a peer reviewer for the Canadian Geotechnical Journal and is a professor at the Catholic University of Brasília, teaching in the Civil Engineering program with a focus on Geotechnics. Her experience in Civil Engineering emphasizes Geotechnics, particularly in the areas of Geosynthetics, Pavement, Railways, Soil Mechanics, Retaining Structures, and Slope Stability.

Ivonne Alejandra M. Gutiérrez Góngora é engenheira civil pela Universidade de Ibagué na Colômbia (2007), mestre (2011) e doutora (2015) em Geotecnia pela Universidade de Brasília. Possui artigos publicados em periódicos internacionais e artigos publicados em congressos e simpósios nacionais e internacionais. Em 2012 seu estudo consolidado na dissertação de mestrado foi premiado no 4º prêmio de projetos inovadores, Caixa Econômica - Federal - Sindimetal - Sinduscon-Norte/PR - Sebrae - Senai. No mesmo ano, lhe foi concedida a segunda colocação no "Prêmio Estudante - IGS Brasil 2009/2012", da seção brasileira da International Geosynthetics Society (IGS). Atualmente, atua como revisora de artigos para o Canadian Geotechnical Journal. É também Professora na Universidade Católica de Brasília, lecionando no curso de engenharia civil, na área de Geotecnia. Tem experiência na área de Engenharia Civil, com ênfase em Geotécnica, atuando principalmente nas áreas de: Geossintéticos, Pavimentação, Ferrovias, Mecânica de solos, Estruturas de Contenção e Estabilidade de Taludes.
