João Paulo Ferreira da Silva

Engenheiro Florestal pela Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco na turma 2006.1, Mestre e Doutor em Ciências Florestais pela mesma Universidade. Trabalhei por cinco anos e seis meses na Associação Plantas do Nordeste-APNE. Durante este tempo desempenhei atividades relacionadas ao manejo florestal comunitário em Assentamentos Rurais e pesquisas associadas ao bioma Caatinga. As principais atividades e experiência adquirida estão relacionadas a Educação Ambiental, Caracterização Ambiental, Inventário Florestal, Diagnóstico Participativo, organização de eventos e na elaboração e execução de Planos de Manejo florestal no Bioma Caatinga. Desde janeiro de 2012 ingressei no quadro de funcionário da Prefeitura Municipal do Recife em regime estatutário, exercendo a função de Analista de Desenvolvimento Ambiental - Engenheiro Florestal, na Secretaria de Meio Ambiente, Departamento de Políticas ambientais na área de Gerência de Gestão Ambiental onde colaborei na elaboração do Sistema Municipal de Unidades Protegidas -SMUP e na elaboração da metodologia e na coordenação técnica dos planos de manejo das UCNs municipais. Durante esse período assumi cargos de gestão, o último como Gerente de Geral de Planejamento e Arborização da Secretaria de Meio Ambiente e Sustentabilidade do Recife. Atualmente estou como Coordenador da Sociedade Brasileira de Arborização Urbana - SBAU em Pernambuco e Diretor Financeiro da Associação Pernambucana de engenheiros Florestais. Atuo como consultor florestal e ambiental para fins de licenciamento, regularização e viabilidade ambiental.

Forest Engineer from the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco in the 2006.1 class, Master and Doctor in Forestry Sciences from the same University. I worked for five years and six months at Associação Plantas do Nordeste-APNE. During this time I performed activities related to community forest management in rural settlements and research associated with the Caatinga biome. The main activities and experience acquired are related to Environmental Education, Environmental Characterization, Forest Inventory, Participatory Diagnosis, organization of events and the elaboration and execution of Forest Management Plans in the Caatinga Biome. Since January 2012, I joined the staff of the Municipality of Recife under a statutory regime, exercising the role of Environmental Development Analyst - Forestry Engineer, at the Environment Secretariat, Department of Environmental Policies in the Environmental Management Management area where I collaborated in the elaboration of the Municipal System of Protected Units -SMUP and in the elaboration of the methodology and in the technical coordination of the management plans of the municipal UCNs. During this period, he assumed management positions, the last one as General Manager of Planning and Afforestation of the Secretary of Environment and Sustainability of Recife. I am currently Coordinator of the Brazilian Society of Urban Arborization - SBAU in Pernambuco and Administrative Director of the Pernambuco Association of Forestry Engineers. I work as a forest and environmental consultant for licensing, regularization and environmental feasibility purposes.
