Flávia Azevedo is currently a doctoral student at Unicamp's Institute of Computing, and a member of the Artificial Intelligence Lab Recod.ai. She holds a master's degree in Computer Science from Unicamp, having developed an interpretable Machine Learning approach to evaluate the hypothesis that blood loss from phlebotomy is a relevant factor for the development or worsening of anemia in hospitalized patients and for the increase in the time of hospitalization, using clinical, laboratory and demographic data from 28,312 hospitalizations that occurred at HC/Unicamp between 2012 and 2016. During her graduation in Information Systems, she was a student of Technological Initiation and monitors the subjects Algorithms and Programming for Computers II and Language of Commercial Programming. During her graduation in Computer Science, she was a student of Scientific Initiation and monitor of the Mathematical Logic discipline. She participated in national and international conferences and workshops promoted by scientific societies in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
Flávia Azevedo é atualmente aluna de doutorado no Instituto de Computação da Unicamp e integrante do Laboratório de Inteligência Artificial Recod.ai. Possui mestrado em Ciência da Computação pela Unicamp, tendo desenvolvido uma abordagem interpretável de Aprendizado de Máquina para avaliar a hipótese da perda sanguínea por flebotomia ser um fator relevante para o desenvolvimento ou agravamento de quadros de anemia em pacientes internados e para o aumento do tempo de internação, utilizando dados clínicos, laboratoriais e demográficos de 28.312 internações que ocorreram no HC/Unicamp entre os anos 2012 e 2016. Durante a graduação em Sistemas de Informação, foi aluna de Iniciação Tecnológica e monitora das disciplinas Algoritmos e Programação para Computadores II e Linguagem de Programação Comercial. Durante a graduação em Ciência da Computação, foi aluna de Iniciação Científica e monitora da disciplina de Lógica Matemática. Participou de conferências e workshops nacionais e internacionais promovidos por sociedades científicas na área de Inteligência Artificial.
