Lizandro Oliveira Jacóbsen

Has degree in Meteorology from Federal University of Pelotas (1999) and master's degree in Remote Sensing, Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2002). He is currently a meteorologist, level II, the Technological Institute SIMEPAR. She has experience in the field of Geosciences, with emphasis on meteorology, acting mainly on the following themes: Weather and climate, tracking 24 hours of severe weather events (rain, wind, lightning, hail, frost) through weather radar, detection system of lightning, satellite imagery, numerical models, and so on. Expertise from the Civil Defense, electric and oil industries and agriculture. In addition to the dissemination of meteorological information to the public in general and means of communication (like radio, television, newspapers and Internet).

Possui graduação em Meteorologia pela Universidade Federal de Pelotas (1999) e mestrado em Sensoriamento Remoto pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2002). Atualmente é meteorologista, nível II, do Instituto Tecnológico SIMEPAR. Tem experiência na área de Geociências, com ênfase em Meteorologia, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: Previsão do tempo e clima, monitoramento 24 horas de eventos meteorológicos severos (chuvas, ventos, raios, granizo, geadas) através de radar meteorológico, sistema de detecção de descargas atmosféricas, imagens de satélite, modelos numéricos, etc. Atuação junto à Defesa Civil, setores elétrico e petrolífero e agricultura. Além da difusão das informações meteorológicas ao público em geral e meios de comunicações (como rádio, televisão, jornais e internet).
