I am a research scientist fascinated to understand biological mechanisms of the brain in health and during disease. My background includes Pharmacology of Chronic Pain, Gliogenesis and Stem Cell Cancer, Adult Neurogenesis and Brain Development researches. As Veterinary Doctor, curiosity to understand mechanisms that underling diseases instead of diagnostic through cure drove me in the academic area. Enjoying many opportunities in different research centers [Fiocruz (Bahia, Brasil), Federal University of Bahia (Bahia, Brazil), Federal University of São Paulo (São Paulo, Brazil), and Boston Children's Hospital - Harvard Medical School (Massachusetts, United States)] strengthened my passion about Neuroscience. My background in Business as my first career gave me skills in Project Management field. My reward is bringing Science to kids and middle and high school teachers around my country in a "Science Popularization Program" which I am engaged.Key words: Neuroscience, Stem Cell, Biotechnology, Education
