Rui M. Lima is a lecturer at the University of Minho since 1995 and is currently associate professor in the Department of Production and Systems of Engineering School of the University of Minho. He is currently the the course coordinator of the Integrated Master in Industrial Engineering and Management. The main research interests are related to planning and production control processes, project management, Lean production systems and active learning in Industrial Engineering and Management. It has been involved in the coordination of international conferences, including the "International Symposium on Project Approaches in Engineering Education (PAEE)," and the "International Conference in Industrial Engineering and Operations Management (ICIEOM 2012)." He has over 100 publications and communications, including in international conferences, international journals and edited books and book chapters.
Rui M. Lima é Professor Associado do Departamento de Produção e Sistemas da Escola de Engenharia da Universidade do Minho, Portugal. A sua atividade científica atual está centrada no ensino e/ou pesquisa em Engenharia e Gestão Industrial, com mais de 100 publicações relacionadas, entre outras, com as seguintes áreas: Processos de Planeamento e Controlo de Produção e Gestão de Projetos, com ligação aos conceitos de Lean Manufacturing; Educação em Engenharia, com ênfase no perfil profissional e em Project-Based Learning (PBL). Ele é um dos coordenadores do International Symposium on Project Approaches in Engineering Education (PAEE) desde 2009 e foi coordenador da International Conference in Industrial Engineering and Operations Management (ICIEOM 2012). Pertence à comissão de direção da rede internacional sobre Aprendizagem Ativa (ALE Active Learning in Engineering Education) e à Comissão Consultiva do centro de investigação UNESCO sobre PBL (UCPBL) em Aalborg, Dinamarca.
