Bacharel em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (2007). Mestre em Botânica pela Universidade Estadual de Feira de Santana (2009). Doutora em Biologia Vegetal pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (2013), com estágio sanduíche realizado no Natural History Museum (Reino Unido). Atua nas linhas de pesquisa de Sistemática e evolução de angiospermas, biogeografia, e palinologia (aplicada tanto à taxonomia quanto produção de mel). Realizou dois estágios pós-doutorais. No primeiro, atuou no estudo da diversidade da flora da Mata Atlântica (UFPE) e no segundo realizou análises de especiação e delimitação de espécies (Kew Gardens, UK). É professora adjunta nível II da Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco (admissão em 2013), lotada no Departamento de Biologia, onde ministra as disciplinas de Morfologia, Sistemática de Fanerógamos, Sistemática e Biogeografia e Evolução vegetal. Foi coordenadora técnica do projeto de pesquisa "Convolvulaceae da América do Sul: crescer em direção ao conhecimento global" (CNPq-PVE 314725/2014-8). Foi coordenadora do Programa de Pós-graduação em Biodiversidade por seis anos, e atua como orientadora de mestrado e doutorado neste mesmo PPG. Mãe de um filho, esteve em licença maternidade em 2013. Bachelor in Biological Sciences obtained in the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (2007). Master in Botany by the Universidade Estadual de Feira de Santana (2009). PhD in Plant Biology obtained in the Universidade Federal of Pernambuco (2013), with an internship realized at the Museum of Natural History (United Kingdom). She works in the research lines of Systematics and evolution of angiosperms, biogeography, and palynology (applied both to taxonomy and honey production). Held two postdocs. In the first, she studied the flora diversity in the Atlantic Forest (UFPE) and in the second, she carried out speciation and species delimitation analyzes (Kew Gardens, UK). She is an adjunct professor level II at the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (admission in 2013), assigned to the Department of Biology, where she teaches Morphology, Systematics of Phanerogamos, Systematics and Biogeography and Plant Evolution. She was technical coordinator of the research project "Convolvulaceae of South America: growing towards global knowledge" (CNPq-PVE 314725 / 2014-8). She was the coordinator of the Graduate Program in Biodiversity for six years, and acts as a master's and doctoral advisor in this same PPG. Mother of one son, she was on maternity leave in 2013.
