Cleide dos Santos Souza

Graduated in Veterinary Medicine (UFBa) and Master by Program of Post Graduation in Animal Science in the Tropics (School of Veterinary Medicine UFBa). Pursuing his doctorate at the Post Graduate Program in Morphological Sciences, ICB-UFRJ and currently is carrying your sandwich PhD at the Institute of Psychiatry of the King's College London (UK). In his Lattes the most frequent terms in the context of scientific, technological and artistic-cultural are: glia, glioblastoma, neurons, embryonic stem cells, induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS), Neurodevelopmental disorders, flavonoids, alkaloids and medicinal plants .

I am a neuroscientist passionate about human in vitro disease modelling through the use of reprogrammed cells with the aim to identify mechanisms of neurodegeneration and Neurodevelopmental disorders. I am actively engaged with other academics and industrial partners. I believe that collaboration and passion are the keys for the scientific progression.
