Mateus Rezende de Andrade

Professor at the History Department and Graduate Studies in History at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora. Researcher at the Economic and Social History Laboratory (LAHES/UFJF). He holds a Bachelor's Degree in History from the Federal University of Viçosa (2012), a Master's Degree in History from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2014), and a PhD in History from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2018). He was an associate researcher in post-doctoral fellow at the Department of History, College of Arts, University of Guelph, Canada. He has worked as historian of the Management of Intangible Heritage and the Board of Protection and Memory of the State Institute of Historical and Artistic Heritage of Minas Gerais. At the Institute of Continuing Education of the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais, he was a professor in the area of Historical Heritage and Historical Archives in Minas Gerais. He is a researcher at the "Research Center for Economic and Demographic History", at the School of Economic Sciences and the Center for Development and Regional Planning of the Federal University of Minas Gerais, an institution in which he also composes the research group "Material Elements of Culture and Historical Heritage", coordinated by the Department of History and the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development. Researcher with emphasis in History, acting mainly in the following themes: historical sociology; economy and population; historical demography; family history; slave societies; analysis of social networks; social mobility; hierarchies and inequalities; historical geography; history of space.

Professor do Departamento de História e da Pós-Graduação em História da Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora. Pesquisador do Laboratório de História Econômica e Social (LAHES/UFJF). Possui graduação (Licenciatura e Bacharelado) em História pela Universidade Federal de Viçosa (2012), mestrado em História pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (2014), doutorado em História pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (2018). Foi pesquisador associado em estágio de pós-doutorado no Department of History, College of Arts, University of Guelph, Canada. Atuou como historiador da Gerência de Patrimônio Imaterial e da Diretoria de Proteção e Memória do Instituto Estadual do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico de Minas Gerais. No Instituto de Educação Continuada da Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais, foi professor na área de Patrimônio e Arquivos Históricos em Minas Gerais. É líder do ?Núcleo de pesquisa em Economia, História e Geografia da Zona da Mata mineira?, pesquisador dos grupos ?Grupo de Ensino e Pesquisas Americanistas? e ?Escravismo Atlântico: família, riqueza e cultura?. Pesquisador com ênfase em História, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: sociologia histórica; economia e população; demografia histórica; história da família; sociedades escravistas; análise de redes sociais; mobilidade social; hierarquias e desigualdades; geografia histórica; história do espaço.
