Larissa Guimarães Averbug

Larissa Averbug is a Brazilian graphic designer, researcher in children's literature, and has a PhD's degree in contemporary visual interpretations of Lewis Carroll's Alice from PUC-Rio, in the Arts & Design Department, under the supervision of Luiza Novaes. She was a visiting PhD researcher at Queen Mary University of London (2019/2020) in Comparative Literature and Culture at the School of Languages, Linguistics and Film, under Kiera Vaclavik's supervision and with a CAPES scholarship Print. She has a Master's degree in Visual Arts ? Image and Culture ? from PPGAV/UFRJ (2013) and is Bachelor in Industrial Design ? Visual Communication ? at UFRJ (2009). She took part in an exchange programme at the Universidade da Coruña (Spain) in Audiovisual Communication. She was a CNPQ/PIBIC researcher during the undergraduate course, being part of the research projects of Prof. Dr Carlos Alberto Murad, and was a CAPES scholarship holder during the master's degree, under the supervision of Prof. Dr Marcus Dohmann. She is currently a graphic designer at the CECIERJ Foundation. She was the partner and creative director of Lapilli Design. She has experience in Visual Communication, working mainly in the following segments: editorial design, branding, packaging, illustration and audiovisual. She was the author of the paper selected in 2nd place at the CBL International Congress of Digital Book in 2012.

Larissa Averbug é designer gráfica, pesquisadora na área de literatura infantil e doutora pela PUC-Rio (2017-2021), Departamento de Artes e Design, sob orientação de Luiza Novaes. Fez doutorado sanduíche na Queen Mary University of London (2019-2020) em Comparative Literature and Culture, na School of Languages, Linguistics and Film, sob orientação da Kiera Vaclavik, através do programa CAPES Print. É mestre em Artes Visuais pelo PPGAV/UFRJ na linha de pesquisa Imagem e Cultura (2013) e graduada em Desenho Industrial pela UFRJ (2009). Atualmente, é designer gráfica concursada na Fundação CECIERJ. Foi sócia e diretora de criação da Lapilli Design. Tem experiência na área de Comunicação Visual, atuando principalmente nos seguintes segmentos: produção e design editorial, branding, embalagem, ilustração e audiovisual. Fez intercâmbio na Universidade da Coruña (Espanha) no curso Comunicación Audiovisual. Foi bolsista CNPQ/PIBIC durante a graduação, fazendo parte de projetos de pesquisa de Carlos Alberto Murad, e foi bolsista CAPES durante o mestrado, sob orientação de Marcus Dohmann. Autora do artigo selecionado em 2º lugar no Congresso Internacional CBL do Livro Digital 2012. Sua tese, "Alice: uma dinâmica criativa irreversível", foi premiada com menção honrosa no Prêmio Capes de Tese ? edição 2022.
