Ph.D. (2013) in Plant Pathology from the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany. Final examination: "Summa cum laude" mark (maximal mark in German PhD system), Nachwuchspreis (Young Scientist Award for best PhD thesis/defense) der Deutschen Phytomedizinischen Gesellschaft e.V. [German Phytomedical Society (DPG)]; M.S. (2008) in Plant Pathology and B.S. (2006) in Agronomy from University of São Paulo, Brazil. Currently, I am working as a Post-Doc at the Kansas State University, USA. My main experience is on fungal genetics and plant pathology. My research interest is to understand how hemibiotrophic fungi causes disease in cereal crops.
