Mariana Arias Avila

has a BA degree (2004), Masters (2010) and Ph.D. (2014) on Physical Therapy by the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) and MBA on Management and Teaching by Centro Universitário Central Paulista (UNICEP, 2017). Nowadays she is Assistant Professor at Federal University of São Carlos and at the Physical Therapy Post-Graduate Program (UFSCar), being responsible for the Isokinetic Dinamometry Laboratory and coordinating the Laboratory of Research on Electrophysical Agents (LAREF). She is the leader of the Research Group Pain: Physical Therapy Evaluation and Treatment, and the Study Group on Chronic Pain (NEDoC). She has experience on Physical Therapy, working mostly with: evaluation and treatment for chronic pain, electrophysical agents, aquatic physical therapy, musculoskeletal dysfunction on women's life cycle and rehabilitation. É graduada (2004), mestre (2010) e doutora (2014) em Fisioterapia pela Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCar), com MBA em Gestão e Docência pelo Centro Universitário Central Paulista (UNICEP, 2017). Atualmente é Professora Adjunta da Universidade Federal de São Carlos e docente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Fisioterapia da UFSCar (PPGFT), responsável pelo Laboratório de Dinamometria Isocinética (PPGFT) e pelo Laboratório de Pesquisa em Recursos Fisioterapêuticos (LAREF). É líder do Grupo de Pesquisa Dor: Avaliação e Tratamento Fisioterapêutico da UFSCar (CNPq) e do Núcleo de Estudos em Dor Crônica (NEDoC), com experiência na área de Fisioterapia, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: avaliação e tratamento da dor crônica, agentes eletrofísicos, fisioterapia aquática, disfunções musculoesqueléticas no ciclo de vida feminino e reabilitação.
