Luisa Davi Oliveira de Mesquita

Fiz minha graduação em Relações Internacionais pela Universidade Federal de Uberlândia, onde defendi meu TCC sobre virada estética e cultura pop como instrumentos importantes dentro da compreensão e do ensino das Teorias de Relações Internacionais. Atualmente, sou doutoranda do Instituto de Relações Internacionais da Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, onde fiz meu mestrado, estudando fandoms como comunidades políticas transfronteiriças, articuladas através da internet. Meus interesses incluem a virada estética e a virada da cultura pop dentro das RI, formação de subjetividade na internet e a Hallyu - a onda de cultura sul-coreana. Fui bolsista de Iniciação Científica do CNPq na graduação e bolsista CAPES no mestrado. Durante o doutorado, permaneço bolsista CAPES e também sou bolsista da CCPG/PUC-Rio.

I've done my undergrad in International Relations at the Federal University of Uberlândia, where my final thesis was on the aesthetic turn and the importance of pop culture in understanding and teaching IR theory. I've doine my MA at the Institute of International Relations at PUC-Rio, and my research focused on fandoms as political communities that are articulated through the internet. Currently, I'm a PhD candidate at IRI/PUC-Rio, and my main research interests are the aesthetic and popular culture turn inside IR, cyberspace and the production of subjectivities and the Hallyu.
