Durval Duarte Júnior
Graduate at Applied Mathematics And Theoretical Physics from Mcmaster University (1974), graduate at Engineering Physics from Mcmaster University (1977), master's at Engineering Physics from Mcmaster University (1980), ph.d. at Engenharia Mecânica from Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo (1988) and ph.d. at Nuclear Engineering from Mcmaster University (1981). Has experience in Mechanical Engineering, focusing on Fluid Mechanics, acting on the following areas: simulação matemática, mancais hidrodinâmicos, mancais de deslizamento, mathematical modelling and fluid dynamics.
Professor Durval Duarte Júnior began his studies in São Carlos, his native city, but he developed much of his academic life in Canada, where he lived from 1965 to 1980. There he graduated from Hill Park Secondary and Parkside High School ( 1970). In 1970 he was admitted to McMaster University where he obtained the following diplomas: B.Sc. (Bachelor in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science - 1974), B.Eng. (Bachelor in Physical Engineering - 1978) and M.Eng. (Master in Physical Engineering - 1980). In 1980 he received the degree of P.Eng. (Professional Engineer). Back in Brazil, he completed his Doctorate (Ph.D. - 1988) in Mechanical Engineering at the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (POLI-USP), in the area of Sliding Bearings (Emphasis in Fluid Term).
