Has a Ph.D. in Literature, Literary Studies (Comparative Literature - 2002-2006) at the Federal University of Minas Gerais; Masters in Literature, Literary Studies (Brazilian Literature - 1997-2000) and Bachelor of Arts - Portuguese Language and literatures (1993-1996 ) from the same university. His thesis "Reading the Other Europe: War and Memory in Literature and Cinema in the Central and Eastern Europe received the ANPOLL Award 2007 (Best thesis of Brazil for the period 2002-2006) and was published by Editora UFMG (2012). Currently is Associate Professor II at the Institute of Literature and Linguistics at the Federal University of Uberlânida (ILEEL / UFU). Permanent teacher program Graduate-Master of Arts in Literary Theory from ILEEL / UFU. Has experience in the area of Arts, with an emphasis on literature, working mainly in the following lines: Comparative Studies in Literature, Studies of narrative forms and processes; Cultural Studies in Latin America Studies literature Portuguese Language, literature, Memory and Identity, Teaching literature.
É Professor Associado I do Instituto de Letras e Lingüística da Universidade Federal de Uberlânida (ILEEL/UFU) e Professor Permanente do Programa de Pós-graduação em Estudos Literários - Mestrado e Doutorado do ILEEL/UFU. Possui doutorado em Letras-Estudos Literários (Literatura Comparada - 2002-2006) pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais; mestrado em Letras-Estudos Literários (Literatura Brasileira - 1997-2000) e licenciatura em Letras - Língua Portuguesa e suas literaturas (1993-1996) pela mesma universidade. Em 2012, sua tese Leituras da Outra Europa: Guerras e Memórias na Literatura e no Cinema da Europa Centro-Oriental (Prêmio ANPOLL 2007) foi publicada pela Editora UFMG. É membro dos Grupos de Pesquisa GPMLA, cadastrado no Diretório de Grupos de Pesquisa do CNPq. Possui artigos publicados em diferentes periódicos do país. Tem experiência na área de Letras, com ênfase em Literatura, atuando principalmente nas seguintes linhas: Estudos Comparados de Literatura, com ênfase no diálogo entre a Literatura e o cinema; Estudos das formas e processos narrativos; Narrativa e Guerra.
