Liberato Silva dos Santos

Liberato Silva dos Santos is an English teacher and Portuguese lecturer at the Federal Institute of Goiás (IFG), Goiânia campus. He holds a B.A. in Portuguese English Language Teacher Education from PUC Goiás, a B.A. in Journalism from UFG, a specialist degree in Higher Education Pedagogy from UNIALFA, an M.A. in Applied Linguistics from UnB, and is currently a doctoral student at the Applied Linguistics and Technology program at Iowa State University (USA), where he studies oral proficiency assessment. He is a member of the research groups Núcleo Multicampi de Pesquisas e Estudos em Linguagem (NuMPEL, IFG) and Letramentos Acadêmicos em Línguas no Ensino Superior (LALES, UnB). He is an associate of the Latin American Association for Language Testing and Assessment (LAALTA), the Graduate Student Assembly (GSA) of the International Language Testing Association (ILTA), and the current president of the Assessment Special Interest Group of BRAZ-TESOL. He has experience in the area of Languages and Applied Linguistics, with an emphasis on foreign/additional language pedagogy, language assessment, and academic literacies in professional (vo-tech) and higher education.

Liberato Silva dos Santos é professor de inglês e português no Instituto Federal de Goiás (IFG), campus Goiânia. É licenciado em Letras Português-Inglês pela PUC Goiás, bacharel em Jornalismo pela UFG, especialista em Docência Universitária pela UNIALFA, mestre em Linguística Aplicada pela UnB e doutorando em Linguística Aplicada e Tecnologias pela Iowa State University (EUA), onde pesquisa avaliação de proficiência oral em língua inglesa. É membro dos grupos de pesquisa Núcleo Multicampi de Pesquisas e Estudos em Linguagem (NuMPEL, IFG) e Letramentos Acadêmicos em Línguas no Ensino Superior (LALES, UnB).
