Gabriel Romero Liguori

Doutor em Cirurgia Torácica e Cardiovascular pela Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo em cotutela com a Universidade de Groningen (Holanda). Graduado com honras (Máxima Distinção em Cirurgia) em Medicina pela FMUSP (2014), recebendo o Prêmio Prof. Dr. Edmundo Vasconcelos. Editor Associado do 'Brazilian Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery'. Possui passagens internacionais pela Harvard Medical School (EUA), Maastricht University (Holanda) e Imperial College London (Reino Unido). Atua na linha de pesquisa 'Desenvolvimento Biotecnológico e Integração Morfo-Funcional de Novos Tecidos no Sistema Circulatório', no Laboratório de Pesquisa em Órgãos e Tecidos do Instituto do Coração (Incor/HC-FMUSP). É fundador e CEO da startup de biotecnologia TissueLabs Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento LTDA. Trabalha com o objetivo de desenvolver órgãos e tecidos humanos em laboratório para utilização em transplantes.

PhD in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery from the University of São Paulo Medical School (FMUSP, 2019) in cooperation with the University of Groningen (Netherlands). Graduated with honors (Highest Distinction in Surgery) in Medicine at the University of São Paulo Medical School (FMUSP), receiving the Prof. Dr. Edmundo Vasconcelos Award. Associate Editor of the Brazilian Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery. International experience at Harvard Medical School (USA), Maastricht University (Netherlands) and Imperial College London (United Kingdom). Dr. Liguori is engaged in the research line 'Technological Development and Morphological Integration of New Tissues in the Circulatory System', at the Laboratotory for Tissue Engineering and Organ Fabrication of the Heart Institute (InCor/HC-FMUSP). He is the founder and CEO of biotechnology startup TissueLabs Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento LTDA. Dr. Liguori work focuses on the development of human organs and tissues in the laboratory for transplantation.
