Tathyane Harumi Nakajima Teshima

Graduada em Odontologia pela Faculdade de Odontologia da Universidade de São Paulo (FOUSP), obteve seu diploma de doutorado em Diagnóstico Bucal na mesma instituição com participação ativa no ambulatório de Estomatologia no Hospital das Clínicas de São Paulo e no serviço de diagnóstico bucal no Departamento de Patologia Bucal da FOUSP por sete anos. Atualmente atua como Pós-doutoranda no Programa de Diagnóstico Bucal da FOUSP, focando em investigar a participação nervosa durante o desenvolvimento de glândulas salivares humanas. Desde 2013 realiza colaboração importante com o Centro de Biologia Regenerativa Craniofacial no King's College London, no Reino Unido, como aluna de doutorado sanduíche pelo CNPq e também como pesquisadora visitante fomentada pela FAPESP. Com particular interesse na área de glândulas salivares, sua principal linha de pesquisa envolve a formação das glândulas salivares, estudos regenerativos e patologias associadas em humano e animal.

Holding a BDS degree from the Dental School of University of Sao Paulo (USP), Brazil, Tathyane has obtained her PhD degree in Oral Diagnosis in the Department of Oral Medicine of the same institution, with active participation in the Oral Medicine outpatient service in Hospital das Clínicas in Sao Paulo and in the diagnostic service in the department of Oral Pathology at USP for seven years. Currently holds a Post-doctoral Fellow position at the Department of Stomatology at USP, investigating the innervation during the development of salivary glands. Since 2013 she has been performing important research collaboration at the Dental Institute of King's College London, UK, as visiting PhD student funded by CNPq and also as visiting Post-Doc Fellow funded by FAPESP. Particularly interested in salivary glands, her main research focus at the moment is on development and regeneration of human and murine salivary glands.
