Atualmente é Professor Adjunto da Universidade Estadual de Feira de Santana (UEFS), Coordenador do GRUPO DE PESQUISA - CIÊNCIA, TECNOLOGIA EM EVOLUÇÃO DA PAISAGEM, SOLOS E PLANEJAMENTO (GEOLANDS) e Coordenador do Laboratório de Estudos da Dinâmica e Gestão do Ambiente Tropical (GEOTRÓPICOS). Membro da Comissão de Geografia do Instituto Geográfico e Histórico da Bahia - IGHB. Integrante da equipe de pesquisa do Lab. de Geografia Física da Universidade Federal Fluminense/ LAGEF- UFF.
