Paulo Fernando da Motta de Oliveira

Paulo Motta Oliveira concluded his doctorate in LITERARY THEORY AND HISTORY in the STATE UNIVERSITY OF CAMPINAS (UNICAMP) in 1995, accomplished two post-doctorates in the UNIVERSITY OF LISBON (UL) between 2004 and 2005, and in 2008, and one in the Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. He defended a free-docency in PORTUGUESE LITERATURE in the UNIVERSITY OF SÃO PAULO (USP) in 2006. He was invited professor in the UNIVERSITY OF LYON 2 in 2006. He was also President of the Brazilian Association of Professors of Portuguese Literature during the biennium 2005-2007. He had a research scholarship from the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) from 1999 to 2011. He is Associate Professor in the University of São Paulo. He coordinates the GEO (Group of Nineteenth-Century Studies). He is also Director of the CELP/USP (Center for Studies of Literatures and Cultures in Portuguese Language) and member of the Coordination Commission of the Postgraduate Program in Comparative Studies of Literatures in Portuguese Language at USP. He oriented more than 30 scientific initiation works, 12 dissertations of master?s degree and 3 doctoral theses, and also supervised a post-doctoral apprenticeship. He researches mainly the Portuguese literature of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, as well as the relations between that and other literatures of the period, specially the literatures in Portuguese language and the French literature. Paulo Motta Oliveira é Professor Titular da Universidade de São Paulo, bolsista do Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico, pesquisador associadodo Centre de Recherche sur les Pays de Langue Portugaise (CREPAL), membro do Conselho Consultivo da Cátedra Camilo Castelo Branco (Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa/Município de Sintra) e do grupo de pesquisa Camilo Castelo Branco (CNPq) Concluiu o doutorado em Teoria e História Literária pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas em 1995. Realizou seis pós-doutorados,todos com apoio total ou parcial da FAPESP: quatro de curta duração, de 3 a 4 meses, dois na Universidade de Lisboa, um na Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, e outro na Université Lyon II, além de dois mais longos, ambos na Université Sorbonne Nouvelle - Paris 3. Defendeu a titularidade em Literatura Portuguesa na Universidade de São Paulo em 2016 e a livre-docência, na mesma universidade, em 2006. Foi professor convidado da Université Lyon 2 em 2006. Fez parte do projeto temático "Circulação Transatlântica dos Impressos, a globalização da cultura no século XIX" financiado pela FAPESP. Foi Presidente da Associação Brasileira de Professores de Literatura Portuguesa no biênio 2005-2007. Orientou 35 trabalhos de iniciação científica, além de 18 dissertações de mestrado e 13 teses de doutorado, e supervisionou 6 estágios pós-doutorais. Pesquisa, principalmente, a literatura portuguesa do século XIX e do início do XX, bem como as relações entre esta e outras literaturas do período,em especial as literaturas de língua portuguesa. a literatura francesa e a espanhola.
