Renan Santos Maia

Civil Engineer (Federal University of Ceará, UFC) with Master's in Transport Engineering, from the Graduate Program in Transport Engineering (PETRAN) of the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), in the area of ​​Transport Infrastructure. Has worked as a Civil Engineer in the Transport Infrastructure area, having experience in subjects such as Earthworks, Geometric Design, Drainage, Civil Engineering Structures, and Signalling. Currently associated with the PhD program in Civil Engineering at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering - Grainger College of Engineering, at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (Illinois, USA), and a Graduate Research Assistant at the Illinois Center for Transportation (ICT), in the conduction of research for the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT). Has academic works on Transport Infrastructure and Operation of Transport Systems areas, in the research lines of Advanced Characterization of Materials for Paving (Road, Road-Urban, Airport, and Railway) and Traffic Safety, with papers published/presented in national and international conferences and journals.

Engenheiro Civil, formado pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC) e Mestre em Engenharia de Transportes, formado pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia de Transportes (PETRAN) da Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC), na área de Infraestrutura de Transportes. Possui atuação como Engenheiro Civil, na área de Infraestrutura de Transportes, tendo experiência em Projetos de Terraplenagem, Geométrico, Drenagem, Obras de Arte Especiais e Sinalização Viária. Atualmente, está associado ao programa de Doutorado (Ph.D.) em Engenharia Civil do Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering - Grainger College of Engineering, da University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (Illinois, EUA), onde também atua como Graduate Research Assistant no Illinois Center for Transportation (ICT), na condução de pesquisas para o Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT). Possui trabalhos acadêmicos realizados na área de Infraestrutura de Transportes e Operação de Sistemas de Transportes, nas linhas de Caracterização Avançada de Materiais para a Pavimentação (Rodoviária, Rodoviária-Urbana, Aeroportuária e Ferroviária) e Segurança de Tráego, tendo artigos publicados e apresentados em congressos e periódicos nacionais e internacionais.
