Dra. Sara de Pinho Cunha Paiva é graduada em Medicina pela UFMG (1998), especialista em Ginecologia e Obstetrícia pela FHEMIG (2000), Mestre em Fisiologia (2004) e Doutora em Saúde da Mulher (2007) pela Georgetown University (EUA), Pós-Doutora em Reprodução Humana e Saúde da Mulher pela UFMG (2009). Tem formação em Mindfulness pelo Center for Mind-Body Medicine e University of Minnesotta (EUA 2003) e pela CHA/Harvard Medical School (EUA 2020).
Atualmente é Professora Adjunto no Departamento de Ginecologia e Obstetrícia da Faculdade de Medicina da UFMG, Médica do Corpo Clínico e Preceptora no Programa de Residência Médica em Ginecologia e Obstetrícia do Hospital das Clínicas da UFMG, onde foi Chefe da Unidade de Saúde da Mulher e Coordenadora do Serviço de Atendimento a Vítimas de Violência Sexual. Além das atividades assistenciais hospitalares e acadêmicas, mantém prática privada de atenção primária à saúde da mulher.
Sara Pinho Cunha Paiva is a physician graduated from UFMG (1998), a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology by FHEMIG (2000), master and PhD from Georgetown University - USA (Physiology 2004 and Women's Health 2007), post-doctoral degree from UFMG (Playback human and Women's Health 2009). It specializes in Mindfulness-Based Skills (MBS) by the Center for Mind-Body Medicine and University of Minnesota (USA 2003).
Currently serves on the Hospital das Clínicas as a doctor on duty in Gynecology and Obstetrics, as well as coordinator of Outpatient Medicine Sexual Violence and Anti-Stress. Conducts research using the MBS techniques in Anti-Stress Medicine program for patients in gynecology, especially women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, Endometriosis / Infertility and Sexual Violence.
In the University Center of Belo Horizonte (UNIBH) is Adjunct Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology courses (Theory and Practice Ambulatory); Internship Coordinator in Gynecology and Obstetrics; and Researcher at the Center for Research in Health at the Institute of Biological and Health Sciences (ICBS) University Center of Belo Horizonte (UNIBH), which conducts research on stress, higher education and the relationship between work / health, using the MBS techniques in program Anti-Stress Medicine. It is also a Board member of the Medical School (colec) since 2013 and Coordinator of the League of Health and Spirituality (LYASE) since 2015.
In addition to hospital care and academic activities, works in private practice primary care to Women's Health.
