He holds a bachelor's degree in theology from the Baptist Theological Faculty of São Paulo (1980), a master's degree in theology from the Superior School of Theology (1995) and a doctorate in theology from the Superior School of Theology (2000). His specialty is the theory of Biblical Exegesis and Christian Theology. His current interests are: Pauline Theology (he has published the first of six volumes of this work), public theology in evangelical reformed perspective; exegetical and theological epistemology in a post-decolonial strand, and the theology of the Pentateuch (he is writing a commentary on the book of Exodus in 2022 as part of this project).
Possui graduação em Teologia pela Faculdade Teológica Batista de São Paulo (1980), mestrado e doutorado em Teologia pela Escola Superior de Teologia (199; 2000). Sua especialidade primária é a epistemologia da Exegese bíblica e da Teologia cristã. Seus interesses atuais são: a teologia paulina (publicou o primeiro de seis volumes dessa obra); a teologia pública em perspectiva reformada evangélica; a epistemologia exegética e teológica e a teologia do Pentateuco (escreve em 2022 o comentário ao livro do Êxodo como parte integrante do projeto).
