Thiago B. Soeiro recebeu os titulos de bacharel e mestrado em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) em 2004 e 2007, respectivamente. De outubro de 2007 a junho de 2012 ele esteve vinculado como estudante de doutorado ao Laboratório de Eletrônica de Potencia (PES Lab) da Universidade Federal de Zurique (ETHZ)- Suíça. Em Maio de 2012 ele obteve o titulo de doutorado em Engenharia Elétrica nesta instituição. De julho de 2012 à outubro de 2013 ele trabalhou como "engenheiro pesquisador pleno II" no Instituto de Eletrônica de Potência (INEP) da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. De outubro de 2013 à abril de 2018 ele trabalhou como pesquisador em eletrônica de potência senior na Corporate Research Centre da ABB Suíça. De Maio 2018 à Janeiro 2022 ele trabalhou na Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) na Holanda onde ele obteve o "Tenure" exercendo a posição de Professor Associado UHD-2 . Desde janeiro 2022 ele trabalha na Agência Espacial Europeia na Holanda como pesquisador de Eletrônica de Potencia.
Thiago B. Soeiro received the B.S. (with honors) and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil in 2004 and 2007, respectively. From October 2007 until June 2012 he worked as a Ph.D. Student at the Power Electronic Systems Laboratory, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich, Switzerland, where he obtained the Ph.D degree in electrical engineering in May 2012. From July 2012 to october 2013 he worked as a research engineer at the Institute of Power Electronics (INEP) at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil. From October 2013 to April 2018, he worksed as a Senior power electronics researcher for the corporate research centre (CRC) of the ABB group in Switzerland. From May 2018 to January 2022 he worked as a Tenured Associate Professor (UHD-2) at the Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) in the Netherlands. Since January 2022 he has been working at the European Space Agency (ESA) in the Netherlands as a Researcher in Power Conditioning and Distribution Units for satellites.
