Rebeca Ribeiro Bombonato is a Doctoral candidate of the Archaeology Program of the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology of the University of São Paulo, under the guidance of Doctor Marilia Xavier Cury. She researches archaeology exhibits on indigenous groups and their participation on the development of new exhibits. In 2016, she obtained Masters Degree in Museology with the research "The geological time in natural history museums' narrative: a comparative analysis" in the interunities program of Museum Studies, also in the University of São Paulo. She was an intern at the Museum of Zoology of the University of São Paulo for a year, in the Division of Cultural Diffusion, where she took part in the assembly and disassemly of exhibitions, participated in activities related to the development of the long-term exhibition of the MZUSP and the commemorative exhibition of the 80 years of the University of São Paulo. She received a CAPES scholarship to attend the École du Louvre Summer Seminar and an internship at the Gallery d'Anatomie comparée et Paléontologie in Paris for two months, as a result of a partnership between the Louvre and IBRAM (Brazilian Institute of Museums). In 2017, she received a grant from the Smithsonian Institution to undertake a three-month internship at the National Museum of Natural History, in Washington D.C, in the Academic Resources area, as the Leader of Activities and Events for Fellows. During August 2020, she began a voluntary service focused on Urban Archeology in the Augusta Park, with the Secretariat of Green and Environment of the city of São Paulo. She graduated in Hotel Management in Centro Universitário Senac (2009). She conducted two Scientific Initiation projetcs with the titles: "Brasilian Hospitality and the Japanese Guest" ,with two years of duration under the guidance of Professor Maria Cecília Preto da Rocha Almeida, and "The development of tourism and hospitality businesses through newspaper ads in Correio Paulistano Newspaper: 1875 to 1880", which lasted one year, under the guidance of Professor Siwla Helena Silva. For the later research project she received an Honorable Mention in the 17th International Simposium of Scientific Initiation (SIIC-USP). In 2011 she attended classes at the University of Oslo, Norway, as part of an exchange program. She is also graduated in Geosciences and Environmental Education (2015) at the University of São Paulo. She currently works as an intern in the Program for Initiation and Improvement in Museum Education (PROIAD) at the USP Museum of Archeology and Ethnology, in addition to being an intern in the Teaching Improvement Program (PAE) in the discipline MEA0016 - Anthropological Exhibitions.
Rebeca Ribeiro Bombonato é aluna de Doutorado pelo Programa de Arqueologia do Museu de Arqueologia e Etnologia da Universidade de São Paulo, sendo orientada pela Professora Doutora Marília Xavier Cury, e pesquisa exposições arqueológicas sobre povos indígenas e a participação de tais grupos no desenvolvimento de exposições. Em 2016 concluiu o Mestrado em Museologia com a pesquisa intitulada "O tempo geológico nas narrativas dos Museus de História Natural: uma análise comparativa", pelo Programa Interunidades em Museologia da Universidade de São Paulo. Estagiou no Museu de Zoologia da Universidade de São Paulo por um ano na Divisão de Difusão Cultural, onde atuou na montagem e desmontagem de exposições, participou de atividades relacionadas ao desenvolvimento da exposição de longa duração do MZUSP e da exposição comemorativa dos 80 anos da Universidade de São Paulo. Recebeu uma bolsa CAPES para participar do Seminário de Verão da École du Louvre e um estágio na Galeria d'Anatomie comparée et Paléontologie de Paris por 2 meses, fruto de uma parceria entre o Louvre e o IBRAM (Instituto Brasileiro de Museus). Em 2017, recebeu uma bolsa da Smithsonian Institution para realizar um estágio de 3 meses no National Museum of Natural History, em Washington D.C, no setor de Recursos Acadêmicos, como a líder de Atividades e Eventos para os alunos de pós-graduação (Fellows). Durante agosto de 2020, participou de serviço voluntário voltado para Arqueologia Urbana no Parque Augusta, junto à Secretaria do Verde e do Meio Ambiente da Prefeitura de São Paulo.
Possui graduação em Hotelaria pelo Centro Universitário Senac (2009). Realizou dois projetos de Iniciação Científica com os títulos "A hospitalidade brasileira e o hóspede japonês", com 2 anos de duração sob a orientação da professora Maria Cecília Preto da Rocha Almeida, e " O desenvolvimento das empresas de turismo e hospitalidade através de anúncios do jornal Correio Paulistano: 1875 A 1880", com duração de 1 ano sob a orientação da professora Siwla Helena Silva. Por este último projeto de pesquisa recebeu Menção Honrosa no 17 Simpósio Internacional de Iniciação Científica da USP. No ano de 2011, cursou disciplinas (no formato graduação sanduíche) na Universidade de Oslo, Noruega. Também possui uma segunda graduação, em Licenciatura em Geociências e Educação Ambiental (2015), pela Universidade de São Paulo. Atualmente atua como estagiária no Programa de Iniciação e Aperfeiçoamento na Educação em Museus (PROIAD) no Museu de Arqueologia e Etnologia da USP, além de ser estagiária no Programa de Aperfeiçoamento de Ensino (PAE) na disciplina MEA0016 - Exposições Antropológicas.
