Anne Magurran

I am an evolutionary ecologist investigating the evolution, measurement and conservation of biological diversity and have a particular interest in how ecological communities change through times. My research uses both experimental and modelling approaches to examine the structure and function of freshwater fish and other ecological assemblages, and involves collaborations with researchers in a number of countries including Brazil, Mexico, US, Trinidad & Tobago, South Africa, India and Malaysia, as well as within Europe. I have written 3 monographs, co-edited a book with R.M. May and another with B.J. McGill, and published > 150 peer-reviewed papers. The work has been cited >15,000 times and my h-index is 43.
