Beatriz Mesquita Jardim Pedrosa

Beatriz is an adjunct researcher at the Joaquim Nabuco Foundation, an institution from the Educational Ministry from Brazil (Fundaj/MEC), phD in Fisheries Resources and Aquaculture (UFRPE). He holds a degree in Business Administration (Catholic University of Pernambuco - Unicap), Fisheries Engineering (Federal Rural University of Pernambuco - UFRPE) and a Master's degree in Development and Environment (Federal University of Ceará - UFC). It conducts research focused on socio-environmental issues, knowledge and traditional communities, environmental justice, common natural resources, governance, socio-environmental conflicts, protected areas and artisanal fishing. She is editor of cadernos de estudos sociais journal. She is an advisor to Apa Costa dos Corais and an alternate member of the Artisanal Fishing Committee of the State of Pernambuco. He participates as a member of The Brazilian Oceanic Horizon, a program linked to the Painel Mar (https://painelmar.com.br), of the International Collective for Support to Artisanal Fisheries / ICSF (www.icsf.net) and collaborates with the Networks Of Support Networks for Artisanal Fishing and Too Big to Ignore (www.tobigtoignore.net).

Beatriz é pesquisadora associada da Fundação Joaquim Nabuco (Fundaj/MEC), doutora em Recursos Pesqueiros e Aquicultura (UFRPE). Possui graduação em Administração de Empresas (Universidade Católica de Pernambuco - Unicap), Engenharia de Pesca (Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco - UFRPE) e Mestrado em Desenvolvimento e Meio Ambiente (Universidade Federal do Ceará - UFC). Realiza pesquisas voltadas à questão socioambiental, conhecimento e comunidades tradicionais, justiça ambiental, recursos naturais comuns, governança, conflitos socioambientais, áreas protegidas e pesca artesanal. É membro do Comitê de Pesca Artesanal do Estado de Pernambuco. Participa de redes de pesquisa e ação como o Painel Mar Brasil (https://painelmar.com.br) e do Coletivo Internacional de Apoio a Pesca Artesanal/ ICSF (www.icsf.net).
