Michelle Melgarejo da Rosa

Doutora em Neurobiologia/Neurociências pelo Leibniz Institute for Neurobiology, Magdeburg - Alemanha (2017). Estudou mecanismos moleculares responsáveis pela plasticidade encefálica e plasticidade sináptica homeostática. Mestre em Bioquímica pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM - 2012), tendo se especializado em memória e comportamento. Graduada em Farmácia pela UFSM. Atualmente, professora adjunta do departamento de Bioquímica da Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE) e pesquisadora do Núcleo de pesquisa em Inovação Terapêutica - Suely Galdino - NUPIT - http://dgp.cnpq.br/dgp/espelhogrupo/9706295167857103. Professora do Programa de pós-graduação em Inovação Terapêutica (PPGIT). Pesquisadora pós-doc no Department of Neurobiology and Anatomy McGovern Medical School, The University of Texas Health Science Center, supervisor Dr. Fabrício Do Monte. Pesquisa nas áreas de distúrbios neurológicos (ansiedade, depressão, frustacão, déficits cognitivos) e comportamento.

PhD in Neurobiology/Neurosciences from the Leibniz Institute for Neurobiology, Magdeburg - Germany (2017). She studied molecular mechanisms responsible for brain plasticity and homeostatic synaptic plasticity. Master's degree in Biochemistry from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM - 2012) (memory and behavior). Michelle has a bachalor degree in Pharmacy also from UFSM. Currently, Michelle is an associate professor at the Department of Biochemistry at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) and researcher at the Research Center for Therapeutic Innovation - Suely Galdino - NUPIT - http://dgp.cnpq.br/dgp/espelhogrupo/9706295167857103. Additionally, she is a professor of the Graduate Program in Therapeutic Innovation (PPGIT). Postdoc researcher at the Department of Neurobiology and Anatomy McGovern Medical School, The University of Texas Health Science Center, supervisor Dr. Fabricio Do Monte. The research areas that involves Michelle's expertise include anxiety, depression, frustration, memory, cognition and behavior.
