Doctor in Materials Engineering, Associate Professor at the University of Sao Paulo - Brazil, coordinates the Structural Composite Materials and Nondestructive Testing research and teaching laboratories at Sao Carlos School of Engineering, acting especially in the fields of conception, manufacturing, mechanical, microstructural and fractographical characterization, nondestructive inspection, failure analysis and prevention of fiber-reinforced polymer & metal matrix composites, self-healing, hierarchical and hybrid materials, with emphasis in aerospace and other high-performance industries.
