Valmor is professor at the Center for Health Sciences and Sports, University of the State of Santa Catarina, teaching physical education and sports. Degrees in Physical Education (1991) and Specialization in Physical Education - Sport School (1994) from the University of the State of Santa Catarina. Master in Physical Education - Sport for Children and Youth at the University of Porto (1999) and PhD in Physical Education - Sport Science, University of Porto (2009) with theme oriented sport pedagogy.
É professor no Centro de Ciências da Saúde e do Esporte da Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina. Atua na área do ensino de Graduação e Pós-graduação. Possui Graduação em Educação Física / UDESC (1991); Especialização em Esporte Escolar/ UDESC (1994); Mestrado em Desporto para Crianças e Jovens / FADE UP (1999); Doutorado em Ciência do Desporto / FADE UP (2009); Estágio Pós Doutoral - Exercício e Esporte/UFV-MG (2020).
