Yaser Hadadian

He did his Bachelor in physics and Master?s degree in solid state physics at Razi University, Kermanshah, Iran. He obtained his PhD in Applied Physics in Medicine and Biology from University of Sao Paulo, Ribeirao Preto campus. Since 2009 he has been working in the area of nanomagnetism; synthesizing magnetic nanoparticles and their static and dynamic magnetic characterization. During his PhD he was doing research on the application of magnetic nanoparticles in medicine, more specifically their theranostic application as contrast agents in magnetomotive ultrasound (MMUS) imaging and magnetic hyperthermia. Moreover, he has also been working on developing instruments in this area, where as a part of his PhD project at GIIMUS laboratory a theranostic platform was proposed. This theranostic platform was capable of acquiring MMUS images and applying a radiofrequency magnetic field for the hyperthermia procedure using a single coil. In addition, for the first time, it provided real-time two-dimensional temperature maps during magnetic hyperthermia noninvasively.
