Dr.Venugopal Krishnan is an Assistant professor, Research & Development coordinator and Placement coordinator in the Department of Biochemistry, Vivekanandha College of Arts and Sience, Tamilnadu during the period june 2019 to till date. He was previously worked as an Assistant professor in Jaya college of Arts and science, Chennai, Tamilnadu.He has obtained PhD degree at one of the Tamilnadu premiere Deemed (Vels) university in India. He has completed M.Sc degree from SRM Arts and Science college. His PhD work involves comparative study of anticancer activity against five different medicinal plant samples and their synthesized silver nanoparticles against three different cancer cell lines and molecular studies. His research interest are Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, Green Chemistry, Plant related products, Nanoparticles synthesis, Drug delivery, Nanomedicine and Animal Cell culture.During his PhD work he was also a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Biotechnology, Vels university from the period of 2011-2016. After PhD completion he was working as a Guest Lecturer in the same Department. During his working period we found him a sincere, honest, hardworking, dedicated employee with a professional attitude and very good domain knowledge. He is amiable in nature and character as well. His honors are DHR (Department of Health Research) Winter School fellow 2018 in Traditional medicine Trasdiciplinary research and Integrative health supported by Department of Health Research, Ministry of health welfare, India organized by Savitribai phule university, Pune. Doctoral Research Fellowship from Vels University, India, Editorial board member of Bulletin of Trends in Biological Sciences, Member of Green Chemistry Network Member of European Society of Nanomedicine, Member of International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology, Member of International Society for Environmental Information Sciences and Life Member of International Society for Applied Life Sciences. His participation includes 12 conferences, 5 workshops and 2 training programs. He also won 1st prize in paper and poster presentation.Beyond my research success I have published in book chapter in CRC Wilson & Taylor francis group, peer reviewed and journals like; Biomolecules journal, IET Nanobiotech, IJ of Photochem and Photobio B Bio, Omics and some others which have been cited by more than 152 researchers throughout the world.
