Kátia Regina Silva

Holds a degree in Forestry from the Federal University of Viçosa (1995), a Master Degree in Forestry Science from the Federal University of Viçosa (1999), a PhD in Forest Science from the Federal University of Viçosa (2003) and MBA Master Business Administration from the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (2015). Worked as Manager of Sustainable Forest Management at Orsa Florestal S.A. and Manager of Research and Forest Development at Jari Celulose, Papel e Embalagens S.A., from 2004 to 2014. Currently work as Forest Development Corporate Head at Sinarmas Forestry, Indonesia. Has experience in Forestry Research (Eucalyptus forest plantation and native forest) and Forest Management of Eucalyptus and native forest, working mainly in the following areas: Forest research, Forest planning, Forest operations, Forest certification (FSC) and ISO.

Possui graduação em Engenharia Florestal pela Universidade Federal de Viçosa (1995), mestrado em Ciência Florestal pela Universidade Federal de Viçosa (1999), doutorado em Ciência Florestal pela Universidade Federal de Viçosa (2003) e MBA Executivo em Administração de Empresas (2015). Atuou como Gerente de Manejo Florestal Sustentável na Orsa Florestal S.A. e Gerente de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento Florestal na Jari Celulose, Papel e Embalagens S.A., no período de 2004 a 2014. Tem experiência na área de Pesquisa Florestal (Florestas Cultivadas e Nativas) e de Manejo de Florestas Nativas, atuando principalmente nas seguintes áreas: Pesquisa florestal, Planejamento florestal, Inventário florestal, operações florestais, relacionamento técnico com órgãos ambientais, certificação florestal (FSC) e ISO 14.001.
