Leandro Libardi Serafim

Leandro Libardi Serafim, conductor, trumpeter, and teacher, born in Gramado-RS. He has a technical degree in music/trumpet from Faculdades EST (São Leopoldo), a bachelor's degree in music education from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), a master's degree in music education from Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA), a PhD in education from Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC), and a PhD in music from Université Laval, Canada. His professional experience is Conducting and teaching wind instruments and percussion in school bands; trumpet player in several orchestras; tutor of the Bachelor in Music Education at UFRGS, in Distance Learning modality; conductor of the Youth Orchestra of Gramado and the Youth Orchestra of Novo Hamburgo; the Artistic Direction of the Wind Orchestra of Novo Hamburgo; the Artistic Coordination of the first eight editions of Gramado in Concert - International Music Festival, where he also conducted the Festival Symphonic Band; he was coordinator of the first four editions of the Composition Competition and the first three editions of the Young Soloists Competition of the Gramado in Concert festival; he participated as conductor of the International Youth Orchestra and the International Brass Ensemble of the Eurochestries Festival in the following editions: Sobral/Brazil (2015 and 2019), Charente Maritime/France (2016), Qingdao/China (2017) and Quebec/Canada (2018). He is currently a professor of brass instruments at the UFC, conductor of the UFC Symphony Orchestra and the UFC Symphonic Band. He is also a researcher in the Research Group in Education, Arts, and Music - PESQUISAMUS (CNPq).

Leandro Libardi Serafim, maestro, trompetista e professor, nascido em Gramado-RS, técnico em música com habilitação em trompete pela Faculdades EST (São Leopoldo), licenciado em música pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), mestre em educação musical pela Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA), doutor em educação, no eixo de música, pela Universidade Federal do Ceará e em música na Université Laval, no Canadá. Tem por experiência profissional: a regência e o ensino de instrumentos de sopro e percussão em bandas escolares; a função de trompetista em diversas orquestras; o cargo de tutor do curso de Licenciatura em Música da UFRGS em Modalidade a Distância; a regência da Orquestra Jovem de Gramado e da Orquestra Jovem de Novo Hamburgo; a Direção Artística da Orquestra de Sopros de Novo Hamburgo; a Coordenação Artística das oito edições do Gramado in Concert - Festival Internacional de Música, onde também atuou como regente da Banda Sinfônica do Festival; foi coordenador das quatro primeiras edições do Concurso de Composição Erudita e das três primeiras edições do Concurso Jovens Solistas do festival Gramado in Concert; participou como maestro da Orquestra Jovem Internacional e da International Brass Ensemble do Festival de Orquestras Jovens Eurochestries nas seguintes edições: Sobral/Brasil (2015 e 2019), Charente Maritime/França (2016), Qingdao/China (2017) e Québec/Canadá (2018). Atualmente é professor de sopros - metais da Universidade Federal do Ceará, atuando também como regente da Orquestra Sinfônica e da Banda Sinfônica da UFC. Também é pesquisador Grupo de Pesquisa em Educação, Artes e Música - PESQUISAMUS (CNPq).
