He holds a medical degree from the Federal University of Bahia. He is a member of the Brazilian Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology (SBOT), Member of the Brazilian Society of Knee Surgery (SBCJ), Member of the Brazilian Society of Arthroscopy and Traumatology Sport (SBRATE), International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Sport (ISAKOS), Member of AO Trauma Latin America (AOLAT), Latin American Society of Arthroscopy, Knee and Sport (SLARD), Member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS). He holds a master's degree from the University of São Paulo (USP) in the specialty of Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy. He is a instructor of the COT / CEOT medical residency and member of the knee surgery department of this institution, member of the knee surgery group and coordinator of the residence in Orthopedics and Traumatology of the Hospital Manoel Victorino and professor of orthopedics at the FTC medical school and UNIFACS.
Possui graduação em Medicina pela Universidade Federal da Bahia. É Membro Titular da Sociedade Brasileira de Ortopedia e Traumatologia (SBOT), Membro Titular da Sociedade Brasileira de Cirurgia do Joelho (SBCJ), Sociedade Brasileira de Artroscopia e Traumatologia do Esporte (SBRATE) e Membro da Sociedade Internacional de Artroscopia, Cirurgia do Joelho e Esporte (ISAKOS), participando como membro da comissão. Possui o título de mestre pela Universidade de São Paulo (USP) na especialidade de Cirurgia do Joelho e doutorando pela EBMSP. É médico preceptor da residência médica COT/ CEOT e membro de grupo de cirurgia do joelho desta instituição, membro do grupo de cirurgia do joelho e coordenador da residência em Ortopedia e Traumatologia do Hospital Manoel Victorino e docente de ortopedia na faculdade de medicina da FTC e UNIFACS.
