Valéria Lúcia Pero
Professora associada do Instituto de Economia da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (IE-UFRJ), ministrando as disciplinas de Teoria Microeconômica e de Desenvolvimento Socioeconômico para alunos da graduação e da pós-graduação. Concluiu doutorado em Economia pelo IE-UFRJ em 2002. Tem pesquisas e publicações na área de Economia do Trabalho e Desenvolvimento Socioeconômico em temas ligados à desigualdade, mercado de trabalho e informalidade, mobilidade social e urbana, pobreza e políticas sociais. Alguns artigos recentes: Evaluating the role of a cash transfer program in promoting local employment: A generalized synthetic control approach (2023); The municipios facing COVID-19 in Brazil: socioeconomic vulnerabilities, transmisssion mechanisms and public policies (2021); Gender differences in intergenerational income mobility in Brazil (2020); Turnover, learning by doing, and the dynamics of productivity in Brazil (2019); Social norms and female labor participation in Brazil (2018), todos co-autorados.
Valéria Pero is professor at the Economics Institute of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (IE-UFRJ), teaching on microeconomics and social economics to undergraduate and graduate students. She holds a PhD in Economics from the Federal University in Rio de Janeiro in 2002. Her main research area is Labor and Social Economics and have conducted projects on two major lines: (1) labor market and social and urban mobility and (2) poverty, inequality and social policies.
