Paulo Victor Rodrigues Ferreira
- PhD candidate at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) at the Electrical and Computer Engineering. Current research is on satellite communications using software-defined radios to improve link robustness and mitigation techniques to address weather induced impairments, including atmospheric slow fading and ionospheric fast fading, such as signal scintillation and attenuation at frequency bands ranging from S-, Ka-band and higher.- M.S. Electrical Engineering - Digital Signal Processing. Developed a Powerline Communications prototype to interface with the software defined radio USRP in order to analyze the wired network characteristics in terms of spectrum leakage and standard compliance (2011-2012).- Specialization course at the Institut Aéronautique et Spatial (IAS), France, on June/July 2012. This training is part of the Young Mineiros Citizens of the World Program 2012 and covered the French Aeronautic and Space sector emphasizing the Aerospace and Aeronautical Engineering.- Bachelor's at Eletrical Engineering from Federal University of Uberlandia. Capstone project covered the software-defined radio technology and its main characteristics, usage requirements and applications (2010).
