Beatriz Cavalcante Chamie

I am a marketeer with a never-ending curiosity. I love investigating the values involved in human behavior and motivation for consumption. I graduated in business administration at Pontificia Universidade Católica (PUC/SP) and have an academic master's degree in marketing from the University of São Paulo (FEA/USP). Besides that, I studied at the University of Utah, Universidad de Salamanca, FGV/SP, ECA/USP, and FFLCH / USP for academic extension courses. Furthermore, I have been a professor for more than 14 years at Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing, ESPM/SP, in post-graduation consumer sciences programs, and an invited professor at FIA/SP and USP/ESALQ. I made relevant academic contributions by authoring national and international articles in journals and books about customer value, shopping experience, store atmosphere, service quality, assortment, and category management- 3 of those inside Kotler's books. My contribution was also in the massive market where many magazines had interviewed me as consumer behavior and strategist specialist. In addition, I coordinated the ECR Brasil Catman and shopper marketing committee for over ten years, have been a speaker at the international shopper brain conference, and was invited to judge prizes at ABRE- Brazilian packing association and POPAI (point of purchase advertising international), and had some special participation in the Globo News TV and magazines regarding media and planning for the new consumer and consumer behavior. Apart from academics, I am a successful entrepreneur. After working several years in FMCG industries, including Unilever, in 2009, I opened Shoppermkt Group, which is a strategic consulting company that has as clients: Coca-Cola, Johnson & Johnson, Nestle, Unilever, Redbull, Kelloggs, BRF, Mars, Carrefour, General Mills, Diageo, Heineken, Sanofi, Hasbro, Nivea, Bic, Ferrero, Hershey's, Reckitt Benckiser, etc. On top of that, I gave training and conducted projects for Brazil, México, and other Latam countries, sharing methodologies about consumers' and shoppers' behavioral understanding and assisting in forming a human-centric and joint value creation work culture. I additionally integrated into my career a spiritual development as a healer therapist with 18 years of practice on reiki, five years of a family/ sistemic constellation, numerology (Pythagoras), philosophy, and yoga.
