Eliana Correia Brandao Gonçalves

Adjunct Professor and Researcher at the Institute of Letters at UFBA and Permanent Professor at the Graduate Program in Language and Culture - PPGLinC-UFBA - linked to the Research Line Textual Philology and Historical Linguistics. Graduated in Letters from the Federal University of Bahia, Master in Letters and Linguistics - Textual Criticism - and PhD in Letters and Linguistics - Historical Linguistics - from the Graduate Program in Letters and Linguistics at the Federal University of Bahia. He is currently carrying out post-doctoral research at the Graduate Program in Philology and Portuguese Language at the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences at the University of São Paulo (PPGFLP/FFLCH USP). She is an effective member of the Brazilian Association of Linguistics - ABRALIN, associated with the Northeast Linguistic Studies Group - GELNE and member of the WG of Textual Criticism at ANPOLL. He was a member of the Academic Coordination of Research and Innovation - CAPI (2021-2023), representative of the Line, Historical Linguistics, Philology and History of Written Culture in the Collegiate of PPGLINC-UFBA (2021 - 2023) and Representative of the Philology Area in the Collegiate - 402 - Vernacular Letters with a Foreign Language (2019 - 2023). He coordinates the Philological and Lexical Studies Group - GEFILL-UFBA and is a member of the research group Nova Studia Philologica (CNPq-UFBA). He has experience in the area of Philology and Historical Linguistics and develops projects financed by FAPESB, CNPq and Permanecer-UFBA, with research linked to the following themes: editing texts from the 17th ? 20th centuries from collections of Brazilian and foreign institutions; lexicon and culture studies, focusing on the onomastic lexicon (toponymy and anthroponymy), lexicography and teaching and the study of semantic-lexical fields; history of the lexicon of Romance languages; Paleography, history and social practices of written culture; Philology in a decolonial perspective, focusing on the circulation and constitution of texts and discourses of violence and resistance movements of social and ethnic minorities; black enslavement in texts from the 18th and 19th centuries and trajectories of resistance by the afro-descendant population in Brazil; Discursive tradition and social history of the Portuguese language.

É sócia efetiva da Associação Brasileira de Linguística - ABRALIN, associada do Grupo de Estudos Linguísticos do Nordeste ? GELNE e membro do GT de Crítica Textual da ANPOLL. Foi membro da Coordenação Acadêmica de Pesquisa e Inovação ? CAPI (2021-2023),representante da Linha, Linguística Histórica, Filologia e História da Cultura Escrita no Colegiado do PPGLINC-UFBA (2021 - 2023) e Representante da Área de Filologia no Colegiado ? 402 - Letras Vernáculas com Língua Estrangeira (2019 - 2023). Coordena o Grupo de Estudos Filológicos e Lexicais - GEFILL-UFBA e é membro do grupo de pesquisa Nova Studia Philologica (CNPq-UFBA). Tem experiência na área de Filologia e Linguística Histórica e desenvolve projetos financiados pela FAPESB, pelo CNPq e pelo Permanecer-UFBA, com pesquisas vinculadas aos seguintes temas: edição de textos dos séculos XVII ? XX de acervos de instituições brasileiras e estrangeiras; estudos do léxico e cultura, com foco no léxico onomástico (toponímia e antroponímia), na lexicografia e ensino e no estudo de campos semântico-lexicais; história do léxico de línguas românicas; Paleografia, história e práticas sociais da cultura escrita; Filologia em perspectiva decolonial, com foco na circulação e na constituição de textos e discursos de violências e movimentos de resistências das minorias sociais e étnicas; escravização negra em textos dos séculos XVIII e XIX e trajetórias de resistência da população afrodescendente no Brasil; Tradição discursiva e história social da língua portuguesa.
