Ana Caroline Vasconcelos Martins

Doutora em química pela Universidade Federal do Ceará (2017) com área de concentração em Físico-Química. Participou do Programa de Doutorado Sanduíche no Exterior (PDSE) com bolsa da CAPES. Mestre (2012) e bacharel (2009) em química também pela Universidade Federal do Ceará. Durante o mestrado e o doutorado, estudou a interação de proteínas com ligantes por meio de cálculos computacionais ab initio. Durante o doutorado desenvolveu metodologia que permite o cálulo de propriedades de sistemas proteína-ligante considerando a constante não-homogênea do sistema protéico. Fez doutorado sanduíche na Universidade de Copenhaga, onde teve oportunidade de trabalhar com calorimetria de titulação isotérmica para estudar a interação proteína-ligante. Tem grande interesse em farmacologia, bioquímica e sistemas biológicos.

PhD in chemistry by the Federal University of Ceará (2017) with area of concentration in Physical Chemistry. Master (2012) and bachelor (2009) in chemistry also by the Federal University of Ceará. During the master's and doctor's degree, she studied the interaction of proteins with ligands by means of ab initio computations. During the doctorate, developed methodology that allows the calculation of protein-ligand systems' properties considering the non-homogeneous dielectric constant of the protein system. She did a PhD exchange at the University of Copenhagen, where she had the opportunity to work with isothermal titration calorimetry to study the protein-ligand interaction. She has great interest in pharmacology, biochemistry and biological systems.
