Luciana Maria Pedreira Ramalho

Luciana Ramalho holds a bachelor's degree in Dentistry from the Federal University of Bahia (1993), a Master's Degree in Dentistry from the Federal University of Bahia (1998) and a PhD in Dentistry (Clinical Stomatology) from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul. She is a Full Professor at the Federal University of Bahia and Head of the Department of Integrated Clinical Practice, Member of the Institutional Evaluation and Course Evaluation Committee of the Ministry of Education and member of the Local Scientific Initiation Scholarship Committee of UFBA. She is an Ad Hoc Consultant of the Foundation for Research Support of the State of Bahia (FAPESB) and the Scientific Editorial Board of the Odonto-sciences Magazine, the Ortodontia SP Magazine and the Journal of Photochemistry & Photobiology. He has experience in the area of ​​Dental Research, with emphasis in Laser, Stomatology and Oral Pathology, acting mainly in the Lines of Research of Tissue Repair and Photobiomodulation, Cancerous Lesions and Cancer of the Mouth. She is a permanent lecturer at the Postgraduate Program in Dentistry and Health at UFBA and her former coordinator and the Postgraduate Program in Interactive Processes of Organs and Systems (ICS-UFBA), as well as the activities of tutor of fellowships in Scientific Initiation of CNPq and FAPESB. He has a Post-Doctorate (Senior Internship) at Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Center, NY USA. She is also a Consultant in Stomatology of the Bahian Nucleus of Oncology of the Oncoclínicas group.

Possui graduação em Odontologia pela Universidade Federal da Bahia (1993), Mestrado em Odontologia pela Universidade Federal da Bahia (1998) e Doutorado em Odontologia (Estomatologia Clínica) pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (2000). É Professora Titular da Universidade Federal da Bahia e Chefe do Departamento de Propedêutica e Clínica Integrada, Membro da Comissão de Avaliação Institucional e de Cursos do Ministério da Educação Brasil do Mercosul (ARCU-SUR). Integrante do Comitê Local de Bolsas de Iniciação Científica da UFBA. É Consultora Ad Hoc da Fundação de Amparo a Pesquisa do Estado da Bahia (FAPESB) e do Programa Nacional de Apoio a Atenção Oncológica (PRONON) do Ministério da Saúde. Participa do Corpo Editorial Científico da Revista Odonto-ciências, da Revista Ortodontia SP e do Journal of Photochemistry & Photobiology. Tem experiência na área de pesquisa Odontológica, com ênfase em Laser, Estomatologia e Patologia Bucal, atuando principalmente nas Linhas de Pesquisa de Reparo Tecidual e Fotobiomodulação, Lesões cancerizáveis e câncer de boca. É docente permanente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Odontologia e Saúde da UFBA e sua ex-coordenadora, além do Programa de Pós-graduação em Processos Interativos dos Órgãos e Sistemas (ICS-UFBA).Desenvolve atividades de tutora de bolsistas de Iniciação científica do CNPq e da FAPESB. Tem Pós-Doutorado (Estágio Sênior -Capes) no Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Center, NY USA. Atua como Consultora em Estomatologia em Núcleo de Oncologia.
