Allan Carlos dos Santos

Doutorando (2019-2023) em Comunicação e Cultura pela Escola de Comunicação da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (ECO-UFRJ) com estágio doutoral no Departamento de Estudos de Gênero da Université Paris 8 (vinculado ao Laboratoire d'Études de Genre et Sexualité - LEGS) e pesquisador integrante do Núcleo de Estudos em Comunicação, História e Saúde (NECHS - FioCruz/UFRJ), nos quais pesquisa a importância do pânico sexual bolsonarista para a ascensão desse movimento político ao poder. É também Mestre (2017-2018) pela ECO-UFRJ e Bacharel em Publicidade-Propaganda e Relações Públicas pelo City College of New York (CCNY), assim como servidor público da Fundação Biblioteca Nacional (FBN) trabalhando no Centro de Cooperação e Difusão (CCD/FBN) na implementação de Programas que objetivam difundir o acervo da FBN e a produção intelectual documental e bibliográfica brasileiras no exterior: Projeto Resgate, Programa de Apoio à Tradução e à Publicação de Autores Brasileiros no Exterior, Programa de intercâmbio, Programa de Residência, assim como o Prêmio Camões e o Prêmio Literário da Biblioteca Nacional. É nativo em português, fluente em inglês, assim como possui francês avançado e espanhol intermediário.

PhD candidate (2019-2023) in Communication and Culture at the School of Communication of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (ECO-UFRJ) with a doctoral internship at the Gender Studies Department at Université Paris 8 (linked to the Laboratoire d'Études de Genre et Sexualité - LEGS) and a a researcher at the Center for Studies in Communication, History and Health (NECHS - FioCruz/UFRJ), in which researches the importance of the bolsonarist sexual panic for the rise of this political movement to power. In addition to being a Master (2017-2018) from ECO-UFRJ and Bachelor in Publicity-Propaganda and Public Relations from the City College of New York (CCNY), as well as a public servant of the National Library Foundation (FBN) working at the Cooperation and Diffusion Center (CCD/FBN) in the implementation of Programs that aim to disseminate the FBN collection and Brazilian documentary and bibliographic intellectual production abroad: Projeto Resgate, Translation and Publication Support Program for Brazilian Authors Abroad, Exchange Program, Residency Program, as well as the Prize Camões and the National Library Literary Award. He is a native speaker of Portuguese, fluent in English, as well as advanced French and intermediate Spanish.
