Milton N. Campos is Honorary Professor at the Department of Communication of the Université de Montréal, in Canada. He holds a "Livre Docência" in Communication Sciences (1993), a Doctorate in Psychology (1996), a Master in Communication Sciences, and a Bachelor degree in Communication. All degrees were obtained from the Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil. His postdoctoral research on networked education and methods of networked discourse analysis, with a focus on the relationships between language and thinking, was carried out at Simon Fraser University (1997-1998), in Canada. In this country, he also developed post-doctoral research on child psychology with regards to televised communication at the University of British Columbia (1997). More recently, Milton N. Campos, on his sabbatical leaves, developed research on multilanguage networked discourse analysis over two periods at the Semiological Research Centre of the Institute of Philosophy of the Université de Neuchâtel, in Switzerland (2007 and 2008), on communicative exchanges of vulnerable youth at the Institute of Psychiatry of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2014-2015), and on youth and digitala media in the context of iliberalism, understood as a bcontemporary barbarian war. He was chair of "Communalis - Communication and Natural Logic International Society", a Canadian scientific association, until 2019, and vice-chair and then chair of the PhD and Master Program on Psychosociology of Communities from 2018 to 2022. Most of Milton N. Campos' career was dedicated to education - as instructor and researcher - and to communication - as television and radio journalist, in national and international institutions. As professor and researcher, he understands communication as a transversal field, having developed this perspective by discussing epistemological, theoretical and methodological complexities. With regards to epistemology and communication theory, he developed a critical constructivist approach based on ethics and on the contemporary problem of multilanguage exchanges. As for methodology, he focused on the development of discourse analysis techniques in which the structure of thinking and lived meanings are articulated, both in the context of daily and contemporary networked conversations. As journalist, he worked in a number of television and radio broadcasting corporations such as the BBC, also contributing to educational television projects.
