Rosa Gabriella de Castro Gonçalves

Full Professor in the Department of Art History and Painting at the School of Fine Arts of UFBA (Federal University of Bahia) and CNPQ (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development) Productivity Scholar. Holds a bachelor's degree in Visual Communication from the Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado (FAAP), as well as master's and doctoral degrees in Philosophy from the University of São Paulo. Completed a postdoctoral internship at the Department of Art and Art History at Stanford University. Was the coordinator of the Graduate Program in Visual Arts at the Federal University of Bahia from 2013 to 2017. In 2016, published the book "Kant, Greenberg, and the Question of Formalism in Art." Has experience in the field of Arts, with a focus on Fundamentals and Criticism of the Arts, primarily working on topics such as criticism, modern art, formalism, contemporary art, and painting. Served as the leader of the Aesthetics GT (Study Group) of ANPOF (National Association of Graduate Studies in Philosophy) in the biennium 2020/2022. Member of the Board of the Brazilian Association of Aesthetics since 2020.

Professora Titular do Departamento de História da Arte e Pintura da Escola de Belas Artes da UFBA e Bolsista de Produtividade do CNPQ. Possui graduação em Comunicação Visual pela Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado (FAAP), graduação, mestrado e doutorado em Filosofia pela Universidade de São Paulo. Realizou estágio pós-doutoral no Departamento de Arte e História da Arte da Universidade de Stanford. Foi coordenadora do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Artes Visuais da Universidade Federal da Bahia entre 2013 e 2017. Em 2016 publicou o livro Kant, Greenberg e a questão do formalismo na arte. Tem experiência na área de Artes, com ênfase em Fundamentos e Crítica das Artes, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: crítica, arte moderna, formalismo, arte contemporânea e pintura. Foi líder do GT de Estética da ANPOF no biênio 2020/2022. É membro da Diretoria da Associação Brasileira de Estética desde 2020.
